Disney.. Eating out

All hotels are B&B basis- and my goodness me I've never seen so many options of what to have for breakfast in all my life! They cater for all types of cultures; you will be spoilt for choice!

As part of our experience here in Disneyland Paris, we have been given the opportunity to enjoy the added extras that come part of the Disney Package holiday. One of these is the Half Board option.
What most people don't realise is that although it may seem an 'added extra' and the 'added expense' trust me this added extra is well worth it! As we know Europe, and France is expensive. There are over 40 eateries to choose from as well as MacDonald's and Planet Hollywood. If money is no object and you have no budget, then ideal! But bear in mind, it is very expensive to eat and drink out!

If you have the Half board option, this does not mean you have to eat half board in the hotel you are staying at, you can enjoy a 3 course meal at any of the 25 restaurants as well as sampling the food in any of Disney Hotels!

This is sooooo worth the extra- and you save an average of 20% on a meal out, with these vouchers. Think about it, if you are staying in the Sequoia Lodge, you enjoy their restaurant and food- you can also go to the New York Hotel and sit in an American dinner style restaurant and sample their menus!.. The only downside is you can't eat or enjoy the Disney Land Hotel. This option is only available by purchasing the Half Board Premium Voucher.

To enjoy any other restaurants that are available, all you need to do is book in advance for any of the restaurants or Disney Hotels. In your welcome pack when you first arrive at Disney, you will be given the list of restaurants as well as number to the concierge whom will book this for you.  Failing that, speak to the hotel reception who will be happy to book your seating for you.

There are so many types of restaurants, such as Italian, Steak, Vegetarian, Bar B Que type restaurant, fish and chips, chicken nuggets, all you can eat buffets! Anything and everything you can think of!
To also point out, it is a set menu to which you can't deviate from, unless you pay the extra.

Our first experience of the Half Board Option was at Steak House in Adventure Land. It was good food, a salad starter, Steak and chips (not USA size plates! – normal portions) and either desert or coffee. Soft drinks are free, alcoholic drinks are not. This to me is perfect, and if you pre book your table you can arrange your day around this, and know exactly what and when you going to eat- the plus side is your children aren't nagging you what where and when you going to have for lunch!!

We enjoyed our Half Board options at lunch, as we had set arrangements for evening meals- but you can enjoy the experience of this at either Lunch or Dinner time.

So, the benefit of pre booking Half Board vouchers, is you save average 20% on your meals, eat any where you like, at any time you like.
There are 3 types of Half board options, each are perfect for each type of  budget.
