INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS TO GET $7M REVAMP


Royal Caribbean International's Independence of the Seas will be undergoing a significant makeover this April. This fantastic cruise ship which is well known for sailing from Southampton is about to undergo a $7 million refit.

Among many of the improvements being made to the Independence of the Seas will be a new baby and toddler nursery and a giant outdoor cinema screen. The improvements do not stop there. Guest on board will also enjoy the new Cupcake Cupboard, offering gourmet cupcakes and bespoke culinary parties and design classes.

The Independence of the Seas will also gain an Italian trattoria called Giovanni's Table.

Southampton has been the home of the Independence of the Seas since 2008 and she will return to service on May 2 to behin her summer season. It will offer new itineraries which will include shorter sailings such as a 2 night cruise to Le Harve and a 3 night cruise to Le Harve and Zeebrugge.
